Custom Aluminum Cable Ladder

What is an Aluminum Cable Ladder
An aluminum cable ladder is an open-frame cable management system made from high-strength aluminum alloy. It consists of two side rails connected by evenly spaced rungs, designed to support and route power and communication cables. Compared with steel cable ladders, aluminum cable ladders offer clear advantages in lightweight design and corrosion resistance.
How Aluminum Cable Ladders Are Made
Aluminum cable ladders are manufactured by first extruding aluminum profiles for the side rails and rungs. These extruded components are then processed through punch holes, followed by welding to assemble the complete ladder structure. HTS-ALU can supply aluminum extrusion profiles only, or provide complete aluminum cable ladder fabrication based on customer requirements.
Aluminum Cable Ladder Structure
An aluminum cable ladder features a ladder-type open structure designed for efficient cable support, ventilation, and heat dissipation. The system is composed of longitudinal side rails and transverse rungs, forming a rigid yet lightweight framework. This structure allows easy cable installation and maintenance while maintaining reliable load performance.

Side Rails
Side rails are the primary load-bearing components of the aluminum cable ladder. They are manufactured from extruded aluminum profiles to ensure uniform strength and dimensional consistency. The side rails define the overall ladder width, height, and span, and are designed for easy connection with supports and accessories.

Rungs
Rungs are installed between the side rails to support the cables. To reduce overall weight while maintaining sufficient strength, rungs are typically punched with openings during processing. The rung spacing and hole design can be customized according to cable load requirements and installation standards.

Accessories
Aluminum cable ladders use various connection fittings and mounting accessories, such as flat plates, brackets, clamps, and hinges. These accessories are generally manufactured through laser cutting, bending, and welding processes, ensuring accurate dimensions, strong connections, and flexible installation options for different project requirements.
Custom Aluminum Cable Ladder Profiles
Custom aluminum cable ladder profiles are designed to meet specific project requirements in terms of size, load capacity, and installation conditions. By combining aluminum extrusion technology with secondary processing and fabrication, customized side rails and rungs can be precisely manufactured to form complete aluminum cable ladder systems.

Cable Ladder Profile Extrusion
Aluminum cable ladder side rails and rungs are produced through aluminum extrusion. We develop custom extrusion dies based on customer drawings or technical requirements, allowing precise control over profile dimensions, wall thickness, and structural design. This process ensures consistent quality and suitability for both standard and non-standard cable ladder applications.

Heat Treatment
After extrusion, the aluminum profiles typically undergo T6 heat treatment to improve mechanical strength and hardness. Through proper solution treatment and aging, the profiles can achieve a hardness of approximately 16 degrees, ensuring stable performance and load-bearing capability in demanding environments.

Punching
Side rails require connection holes and mounting holes for installation and assembly. These holes are mainly produced through punching processes for efficiency and consistency. For small-batch or prototype orders, milling can also be used to meet flexible production needs. Rungs are usually processed with punched openings to reduce overall weight while maintaining sufficient strength, and punching is the standard method for rung production.

Welding
During final fabrication, the rungs are welded onto the side rails to form the complete aluminum cable ladder structure. Controlled welding processes ensure strong joints, structural integrity, and dimensional accuracy, resulting in reliable and durable cable ladder systems ready for installation.
